THE Archbishop of York, Dr John Sentamu, will visit Selby today, to meet farmers, officers of the council, and students and staff from Selby College.
Dr Sentamu said: “I always enjoy coming to Selby and visiting friends old and new in this wonderful town. “I’m particularly looking forward to meeting the students at Selby College. I believe young people have a unique perspective and we should listen to what they have to say.”
Dr Sentamu will also attend an open evening at All Saints’ Church in Pocklington from 7.30pm, to answer questions from visitors.
The event is free, but tickets must be ordered from the parish office on 01759 302133.
