A ROCK band from York has teamed up with graduates from York St John University to make their first music video.

From Almost The End (FATE), have made it through to the Live and Unsigned regional finals at Sheffield in April, after forming ten months ago.

The band approached Rogue Frame Productions, a team of six film and television production graduates, who took on the challenge to make the band’s music video as their first project.

Rogue Frame consists of Emily Batty, 22, Daniel Harrison, 22, Will Jefferson, 21, Matthew Kirke, 22, Ben Turner, 22 and Andrew Webb, 24.

Mr Turner said: “We wanted our first project to be a music video. We approached From Almost The End as we felt that their song FATE had the right energy that we wanted to open our portfolio with.

“They are a dedicated group of performers, and fantastic people – working with the band was a highly enjoyable experience, and we would be very happy to work with them again.

“We are very confident they will go all the way in the upcoming Live and Unsigned competition they are taking part in, and we wish them the very best of luck.”

More than 10,000 acts from across the country entered Live and Unsigned in the hope of winning a record deal and £50,000 investment in the band.

Gemma Holloway, manager of the band, said: “This is what the music industry should be like, local talent merging together.

“York is so small, but it is full of talented musicians, technicians, and people wanting to be entertained.”

John Heaver, bassist with the band, said: “The finished video was better than we could have ever hoped for.

“The crew were amazingly professional, and Rogue Frame undoubtedly have a very promising future ahead of them.”
