The Stroke Association is calling on runners who were not lucky enough to gain a place in the Great North Run ballot to apply for a place through the charity.

The charity has a limited number of places left for those wanting to take part in the half-marathon in support of The Stroke Association.

Everyone gaining a place through The Stroke Association must pledge to raise £400, which includes all entry fees.

For more information about securing a place, or running for The Stroke Association for those people who have their own place, phone Janet Price on 0191 492 6191 or email janet.price@stroke.org.uk.
