Three pupils from a York school have returned with trophies and accolades from prestigious music awards.
The trio from The Mount School attended the Catrine Basil music awards, held at Sidcot, Bristol.
Eleanor Audet won the vocal class at the award and and Catriona McDermid won the woodwind class. Elizabeth Sham won the piano class, while Catriona also triumphed in the original composition section with her piece, Elegy. All three represented The Mount in last week’s independent schools’ Homestart concert in York Minster.
Catriona has been offered a place at Lincoln College, Oxford, to read music, as well as a scholarship at the Royal College of Music, in London.
