A SUSPECTED electrical fault resulted in a garage fire at a house in Osbaldwick.
Fire crews from York and Acomb were sent to the incident at 11am yesterday in Church Road, where they found a washing machine had been destroyed by the flames.
Officers said the alarm had been raised by smoke detectors in the building next to the garage.
