A lorry driver has been arrested following a crash in North Yorkshire today.
As reported on thepress.co.uk earlier, a lorry and a Fiat van collided at the junction of the A19 and A63 at Barlby, near Selby, this afternoon.
North Yorkshire Police say the driver of the HGV, a 50-year-old Bulgarian man who was driving a Spanish-registered lorry, has now been arrested in connection with the collision.
The driver of the van, a man in his 60s remains in a stable condition in York Hospital with serious injuries.
The road is expected to remain closed for the next three hours.
