POLICE have released a CCTV image, above, of a man suspected of attacking a North Yorkshire bus driver.
The incident occurred on the number 36 bus service from Ripon to Harrogate on Friday, January 31, at the stop outside the Red Lion, at South Stainley, at about 2.30pm.
The driver, a 31-year-old man from Harrogate, was punched several times in the face before his attacker got off the bus. The driver suffered bruising to his face.
PC Yvonne Lofthouse said: “This was an unacceptable, unprovoked assault on a man going about his job.”
