A PROLIFIC offender who has caused misery for North Yorkshire residents has been named and shamed by police.
Richard Daniel Pople, 30, of North Marine Road in Scarborough, has been responsible for antisocial behaviour throughout the town.
On Friday December 3, Pople was issued with an interim anti-social behaviour order preventing him from visiting certain areas of the town, associating with certain people and behaving in an anti-social manner.
His order took effect on Thursday, December 16, when he was released from prison after serving a jail sentence for burglary.
Police said last time Pople left prison he reoffended immediately by setting fire to a bench.
He has also been caught defecating in a school fountain and sleeping in the grounds of another local school.
Police are putting up posters of Pople around the town so that residents can report any further offending.
