A GOAL from Annabel Lee earned City of York Hockey Club Ladies I a 1-0 win over Lancaster in North League division one.
York took the lead when Lee squeezed the ball into the back of the net from a free hit outside the circle.
’Keeper Dawn Hopkins made some key saves to keep a clean sheet, while woman-of-the-match Jenna Gallagher worked tirelessly in defence.
York did well to maintain the lead through the second half with Lancaster threatening to equalise.
