AN 11-YEAR-OLD girl was taken to hospital after a car ran over her foot at a pelican crossing.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the collision, which happened in Gracious Street, Knaresborough, at 3.45pm on Friday.
The driver of a small silver car, which ran over the child’s foot, did stop at the scene, but drove off before police arrived.
The girl was taken to Harrogate Hospital for treatment before being released.
The driver of the silver car or anybody who witnessed the collision is asked to phone TC Rob Roberts on 0845 60 60 247.
