IT WAS good to hear former Green candidate Andrew Collingwood’s endorsement of Mick Hoban, Labour’s Hull Road candidate, this week (Letters, September 20).
Andrew’s critique of the Liberal Democrats is quite right – and made even more pertinent given news that 52 per cent of Liberal Democrat voters feel the party has “sold out” to the Tories (Comres poll, September 19).
While the Labour Party has been voting on its leadership, the Liberal Democrats have been abandoned by theirs. Just as Andrew Collingwood will be supporting Mick Hoban, I hope rightly disillusioned Lib Dem voters can do the same and point York in the right direction to defending our public services from unfair cuts.
