THOUSANDS of racing fans enjoyed another day in the sun at York Races as the Welcome To Yorkshire Ebor Festival entered its third day.
Elaborate hats were the order of the Ladies’ Day meeting, and hundreds of colourful and daring outfits meant some racegoers were not just focusing on the racing.
The grandstands were packed with onlookers for the event, with 28,881 people attending, an eight per cent rise on the same day last year.
The accolade for Best-Dressed Lady went to Kelly Ewing, from Leeds, who screamed in disbelief when she was announced as the victor in the Winner’s Enclosure before the last race of the day.
