THE start of the 2010/1 football season cannot come quick enough for Heworth Under-13s girls.
The youngsters finished the campaign on a high with three wins in their closing four fixtures to finish sixth in their City of York Girls’ League division.
Having failed to win a single game the previous year, the season just gone was a major triumph for the side.
The girls have played some exciting and skilled football throughout the year.
The season ended in style with a 2-0 win over Copmanthorpe, thanks to a brace of strikes by Jessica Williams.
