Musicians turned up and tuned up for a battle to be crowned Best of the Bands at York’s Grand Opera House last night.
The annual schools’ competition was a hotly-contested affair in front of a sell-out crowd.
More than 1,000 people bought tickets to see 14 new and up-coming bands from schools and arts academies compete for free studio time, a professional photo shoot and the chance to support Aynt Skynyrd, the UK’s official Lynyrd Skynyrd tribute band, at a concert at the Grand Opera House this month.
