IT APPEARS to me that wherever one goes these days, people refer to politicians as “they”, which strikes me as rather odd.
We have in this country countless opportunities to take part in the democratic process, no matter what background one is from, or to some extent resources.
Nevertheless these opportunities do not seem to be taken up, hence the crop of politicians we so deserve who tend to be very selfserving.
So I suggest more pressure groups to make sure our everyday concerns are addressed – council tax, housing, services and advice.
So don’t just moan about them, form a group have a meeting, and go to meetings wherever they may be.
