NEW Earswick Musical Society’s next production is based on the film Some Like it Hot.
Sugar follows the fortunes of two unemployed musicians who witness the St Valentine’s Day Massacre. The pair dress as women to avoid the gangsters and join an all-female band with romantic complications ensuing. The classic Hollywood film starred Jack Lemmon, Tony Curtis and Marilyn Monroe.
A spokesman for the society said: “With upbeat music, great songs, and plenty of comedy throughout, this show will have you laughing and tapping your feet all the way.”
Performances will take place at 7.30pm from next Tuesday through to Saturday, April 17.
