THEY toddled their hearts out - and raised hundreds of pounds for our Guardian Angels appeal at the same time.
At Edward the Confessor Church in Dringhouses, York, nursery children raised more than £700 for our appeal by taking part in a sponsored "toddle".
Nursery supervisor Lisa Bateson said: "Everybody that comes to the playgroup took part in the event.
"We set up a little assault course in the vicar's garden and the children had to go through tunnels and hoops and walk along balance beams.
"Every time they completed a circuit they were given an Easter egg and at the end they all got a certificate. They all really enjoyed themselves and it was such a happy morning.
"When we read about this appeal in The Press, we decided it would be really nice to do something for other people.
"Supporting Guardian Angels is going to be an ongoing thing for us."
Meanwhile, staff at Tesco in Clifton Moor have contributed hundreds to our appeal. By doing a variety of different projects, they raised £500.
Our Evening Press Guardian Angels appeal aims to raise £300,000 to transform high-dependency paediatric care on York Hospital's children's ward.
