OLD-FASHIONED is big business. At least that is what entrepreneur Terry Stockwell is pinning his hopes on.
Terry is the proprietor of Tea For Two in Boroughbridge High Street, opened last June, but in quaint old-fashioned style. Now he is opening a new food store next door called Treat Yourself, which also harks back to the goodies of yore. The store, which opens on Wednesday will sell produce from local farms as well as home-made cottage-industry preserves.
Terry said: "Old-fashioned is sometimes best. I am recreating all the colours, smells and mood of sell-everything corner stores of the 1950s. Not quite Arkwright's, but moving in that direction"
