SO MR Blair wants the electorate to forget nine days of headlines and see nine years of achievements, including:
Billions invested in NHS = hospital closures and redundancies!
Pension funds plundered and closing!
Graduates saddled with mortgage-size debt!
82 per cent Council Tax increase.
Widespread election fraud!
£30 billion public sector deficit!
Iraq!
UK taxation levels highest in Europe!
Loans for peerages!
Okay, so let's forget hedge funds and offshore accounts, grace-and-favour houses and MPs' housing-related expenses, the release of foreign criminals judges recommended for deportation - some of whom have re-offended - and a buffoon of a deputy prime minister.
But please do tell me, Mr Blair, will the electorate have to wait until three weeks after the next election before you do a Berlusconi and resign, because I don't think nine is your lucky number.
It's certainly not mine.
Glyn Myerscough,
Foxwood Hill,
York.
