KNIGHTS stars of the future had a taste of military team building when they were put through their paces by personnel from RAF Linton-on-Ouse.
The North Yorkshire Service Area Under-12s squad kicked off their training schedule with a spot of team bonding in which the RAF workforce held a selection of motivational exercises.
It was the first time the 25-strong squad had got together and the emphasis of the session was to help them get to know each other, as well as work together with problem solving exercises and build communication skills.
"It can be difficult working as a team if you don't know each other so the session was all about forging relationships and establishing new friendships," said Service Area co-ordinator Ian Wilson, who is also a Knights' development officer.
The four North Yorkshire Service Area representative teams - at under-15, U14, U13 and U12 levels - were beginning their five-match campaigns today against their counterparts from South Yorkshire.
