I cannot understand the way some people view graffiti.
While some may have certain artistic merit, each graffiti "artist" should firstly place his "tag" on his own home or dwelling so he would realise how difficult it is to remove.
I have played, and been on the committee of, Ovington Cricket Club, a small community club playing on the Little Knavesmire. So as the tag says "enemy", are we the enemy or the "tagger"?
The last time we had a bout of graffiti, the council gave us an estimate of £580 to remove it, which we could not afford, so we had to remove it using volunteers, which takes up a great deal of time.
From past experience, this one will take 20 hours to remove, which is time that could be better spent coaching young players than cleaning up after this so-called artist.
