IN articles about the lack of dentists and dental care, there is always mention of gum disease.
What is very rarely mentioned is the strong link between gum disease and heart disease.
The full cost of lack of proper dental care in the UK should also take into account the people who will end up in hospital having to receive very expensive coronary care, plus other costly and needless consequences. All for the lack of regular dental check-ups.
