THE North Riding Senior Cup final against Northallerton Town at KitKat Crescent next Tuesday (7.45pm) will represent York City's last chance of silverware this season.

It will be also a great way to celebrate the existence of a reserve side, which the club's fans helped to save and fund this season.

City are likely to field a reserve team but Northallerton are expected to bring more fans than the average Conference team and free chocolates will be on offer to spectators.

Northallerton have gained promotion to the first division of the Northern League this season.

Admission is £6 for adults and £3 for concessions.

York Minstermen will also be holding a half-time raffle and a bucket collection for the Pitch in a Pound appeal bucket collection, as well as taking entries for the Goal of the Season competition.

Although the club's youth set-up is under threat after the withdrawl of central funding towards City's Centre of Excellence the club are hoping to be allowed to play in the Youth Alliance League next season.
