I SEE from the Evening Press that the Liberal Democrat-run city council has finally realised what the people of York have known for the past two years: that parking fees have turned away more visitors from York than ever.
The inconvenience to its citizens of evening parking charges, too, resulted in many organisations moving out of the city centre.
Bring back free evening parking.
Can it be getting near election time?
