It is with interest that I read in the Evening Press this week stories about Coun Waller celebrating new initiatives funded by the Labour Government.
First there were measures to tackle noise nuisance using a total of £161,000 over two years from the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister (ODPM).
Then there is the money to reduce underage sales of alcohol, again with money from the ODPM. This time £84,000 over two years.
I welcome the support of the Labour Government to tackle these important issues and the continued investment in this city to create safe communities for York residents to live in.
Coun Ruth Potter,
Labour spokesperson, Environment and Sustainability,
