YORK City will climb into a play-off position by beating Altrincham tomorrow afternoon, regardless of scores elsewhere.
With fourth-placed Stevenage Borough without a fixture, Billy McEwan's men will climb above the Hertfordshire club if they can collect three points at Moss Lane.
An away win against Altrincham will also lift the sixth-placed Minstermen up two positions in the Conference table should Morecambe fail to beat tomorrow's visitors Hereford United, who are currently in second place.
City's promotion rivals Exeter City, Grays Athletic and Accrington Stanley, meanwhile, will do struggling North Yorkshire neighbours Scarborough a favour if they can defeat lowly trio Southport, Tamworth and Crawley Town respectively.
