MEMBERS of St Saviourgate Unitarian Chapel would like to thank York residents for responding to the opening of their building for Residents 1st weekend.
More than 250 visitors came through the doors, stayed for refreshments and enjoyed the exhibition featuring famous York Unitarians.
Outside the building they were able to see that the roof appeal to which so many have given generously, has born fruit: scaffolding is in place for the re-tiling in Westmorland slate to begin.
An excellent beginning to a New Year!
