THIS is a very urgent plea on behalf of Stagecoach Youth Theatre York, with whom I have been involved for a very long time.
It is appalling that the funding from City of York Council will once again be reduced and that this will cause Stagecoach to cease operating. I am sure the amount involved is very small in the council budget, but it is absolutely vital to Stagecoach.
Every effort should be made to convince the council that its decision is wrong.
Stagecoach provides a vital resource for the youth of York and its reputation speaks for itself.
I was born and brought up in York, so I know the importance of the Stagecoach Youth Theatre, not only to the immediate area but nationwide.
I also know that I speak for the majority of York residents. Please join me in helping Stagecoach survive.
