Sun Inn's 8-1 win against Flag 'A' stretched their lead at the top of York Phoenix Monday Darts League division one to 19 points.

Sun took the first five games which included a Chris Thompson maximum. Tony Cooper added 20 then Kev Walton close on 17 and 22.

Thompson was on hand with 22 and 15 darts in the last game to complete the rout. Best performer for Flag was Paul Calpin with 20.

Huntington WMC came back from 3-2 down to take the win with Phil Good clinching the match. Kev Watson was the club side's best with 180 for 17 plus 21, while Mark Hartley gave Ebor a 3-1 lead with a 116 finish for 18 plus 20. Tony Raymond's 16 darter sealed the win against Acorn, who had Steve Evans out in 20 plus a maximum.

Cygnet's 7-2 victory against Clifton saw Dave Mason out in 20, while Anthony Baxter hit a 180 for the visitors.

In division two, Angel and White Horse moved into second spot with a 7-2 win against Slipper who had Steve Reynolds out in 20. Col Gibson was Angel's star with 180 and 17.

Crescent's rise up the table continued after Ken Smith took the last game win against Health Service Club, while Old Ebor recorded a 7-2 win at Britannia, and despite 21 darters from Sean Robinson and Kelvyn Frankel, Edinburgh lost at home to Falcon.

The top clash in division three saw leaders Holgate defeat Alice Hawthorn 7-2 with Gaz Stewart gaming in 21 and Derrick Hudson adding a maximum.

Blacksmith's Arms won 7-2 against Wenlock, who had Simon Yorke out in 24, while Phoenix recorded the same score against Waggon & Horses.

Post Office Club notched their second win of the season with a 7-2 success against Flag 'B' while Matthew Kitchen (21) stood out for Sports Club against York City Social Club.
