YORK Under 11 Schoolboys are through to the North of England Schools' Seven-a-side Football Finals after defeating Scarborough for the right to represent North Yorkshire.
York won 3-1 victory with goals from Dan Wilson (2) and Jack Littlechild.
Good work down the right by Paul Winterburn led to Wilson's opener from close range and the marksman doubled the advantage as he smashed home from inside the penalty area after a corner.
Littlechild redirecting another Wilson effort into an empty net for York's third goal.
York's defence was superbly marshalled by Josh Poulter and Liam Jackson, while goalkeeper James Hall had a solid game.
Scarborough grabbed a late consolation, but York had done enough to secure a trip to the finals at Chester-Le-Street for the fourth year running.
