TEN-MAN Union Rovers completed an excellent comeback to clinch victory in their Ryedale Hospital Cup clash at Aislaby United.

Union trailed 2-1 in the RJF Homes Beckett League competition after 'keeper Paul Holder was sent off for hauling down home striker Adam Hornby and Nick Wilkinson scored from the resulting penalty.

But goals from Dwaine Young and Peter Tiffany settled the second round tie in Union's favour.

Tiffany had earlier fired the visitors in front before a Hornby equaliser.

Union's seconds, meanwhile, crashed out 10-1 against Kirkdale United with Chris Hodgson getting the consolation.

Martin Charlton (3), Cian Sweeney (2), Philip Charlton, David Greenlay, Ian Prendergast, Philip Marwood and Darren Palmer were on target for United.

St Clement's defeated Duncombe Park with Mark Harrison getting the only goal of the game, while Robbie Fountain (2), Tommy Hunter and Matthew Kendall netted in Bagby and Balk's 4-1 victory over Crayke.

An own goal saw Kirkbymoorside Reserves beat Rosedale 1-0 while first division leaders Black Swan, Pickering, overcame Norton United Reserves 6-0 thanks to Marc Dobson (3), John Scoble (2) and Matty Smith.

In division one, Sinnington were 4-1 winners against Slingsby with Lee Allardice, Gary Mitchell, Wayne Moon and Sam Turnbull on the scoresheet. Dave Allan replied for Slingsby.

Division two leaders Gillamoor won 4-1 at Ampleforth after Dean Fawcett (2), Paul Brackley and Craig Ibbotson cancelled out a Jonathan Whittaker effort.

Mike Brown and Shaun Suffield both bagged braces as Old Malton 3rds overcame Heslerton 4-1, who replied through Ashley Cooke.
