AFTER three Yorkshire One defeats in a row, Selby RUFC have to get their act together and start to win games, but the omens are not good as they travel to take on Wheatley Hills on Saturday.

The Doncaster-based club has not proved to be a happy hunting ground for the Sandhill Laners with five defeats from five visits.

Selby make four changes from the XV selected who lost so disappointingly at home to Bradford Salem last week.

Shaun Austerfield is dropped after failing to turn up for the Bradford game and Rich Topping, scorer of both tries against Salem, is unavailable.

Mike Parsonage, second team skipper, comes onto the wing with Martin Protheroe starting on the other wing.

In the forwards, Paul Gabel starts at prop in place of Richard Fuller who drops to the bench. Duncan Phillips starts at flanker with Mathew Mills being unavailable - Richard Nicholson is the other flanker.

York have once again been forced to reshuffle the pack as they travel to West Yorkshire to take on Pontefract tomorrow.

It's been rare that the Clifton Parkers have been able to select a settled XV this season and the match at Pontefract is no exception, with several first teamers carrying injuries.

With York needing to keep their Yorkshire One promotion campaign at the forefront, it's a worrying time for club coaches ahead of next week's Intermediate Cup fourth round clash with North 1 side Morley.

But it's a happy day for Yorkshire U19 prop Darren Rutherford, who will make his debut for the first team in place of the unavailable Simon Humprhies.

Elsewhere, James Rossington steps up for the injured Rob Sparrow in the second row. Tom Copeland comes back into the side at full back as Mike Westwood moves out to the wing in place of Nathan McBride.

While Pontefract have won only three league games this season, they tested league leaders Sheffield Tigers in a 33-20 defeat last time out and York will need to be on their guard.

Pocklington travel to South Yorkshire to meet Dinnington on a real high following their fantastic victory over West Leeds last week.

They will have to take on their fellow promotion rivals without vice-captain, Sandy Mitchell, but former England junior Charlie Allen is a more than capable replacement.

Billingham are the visitors to The Gannock with Malton and Norton promising to raise their game against the Teesside club.

Firmly ensconced in second place in Durham and Northumberland One, club chiefs are hoping home advantage will help lift the cobwebs following a lacklustre display at West Hartlepool last week.

Goal kicking has come under increased focus, with Malton coaches angered that so many penalties and conversions have been missed in recent games - points they feel could be hugely valuable at the end of the season.

David Webster replaces the injured Neil Gilbertson in the centre and Tom Anderson and Chris Robson switch places in the back row and on the bench.

York RI will look to build on last weekend's 37-7 mauling of Old Modernians when they go to mid-table Skipton in Yorkshire Three.
