Viking Management Systems, the computer company on the Pocklington Industrial estate, took top honours at the first Sage Circle of Excellence awards ceremony in Edinburgh.
Sage, the world's leading provider of accounting and business management software solutions, introduced the award to recognise and reward business partners for their customer service.
The Circle is open to all Sage Business Partners, no matter which product they sell, and out of the 1,500 attendees at Sage Visions, only the top one per cent were chosen to form the 15 member Circle - with Viking Management Systems taking first place.
Paul Barnett, managing director of Viking Management Systems, said: "It is terrific that after 17 years of doing business and implementing well over 1,000 business and accounting solutions our customers still rate us this highly.
