I HAD thought City of York Council to be woefully inept, however it has come up with a brilliant ruse.
Take the taxpayers' hard-earned cash and use it to stage a firework display for them, but refuse to tell them where it is.
I suggest we reciprocate in kind by letting it know it can have next year's council tax but refuse to tell the local authority where it is.
It can hardly complain. After all it was the city council's brilliant idea.
