Jill Rounce won all of her three games to help York RI 'B' to a draw against last season's champions Bootham CC 'A' in division one of the York & District Table Tennis Winter League.

Coneysthorpe 'A' are top by one point after a 9-1 win against two-man Groves WMC 'B'. Richard Crowther won his three matches in straight sets for York RI 'A' against Holgate WMC 'A'. He then teamed up with Paul Noutch to win the doubles and secure a 6-4 win, which moves them into second place.

Poppleton 'A' have a six point lead at the top of division two after a narrow win against Nestle 'A' and a draw against Holgate WMC 'B'.

Joe Suchecki won three for Bootham CC 'B' in their 7-3 win over York RI 'D' to take them into second place in the table. Nestle 'A' are third after their 7-3 win over York RI 'C'. Dave Lamb and Keith Webster both won three.

Bootham CC 'C' have a commanding lead in division three after beating Groves WMC 'C' 9-1. Bob Plant, Gareth Bryning and Ray Mitchell all won their three singles matches. BT 'A' and Coneysthorpe 'B' are in joint second place.

Richard Church and Gareth Stott both won their singles matches to help York RI 'E' to a 7-3 win over BT 'B'. There was also a maximum for Howard Broadbent for BT 'A' in the 6-4 win over Poppleton 'B'.

Poppleton 'C' lead division four after a draw with York RI 'F'. Tom Wright won his three singles for Poppleton.
