WHAT a wonderful gesture by the new Archbishop of York, Dr John Sentamu, to arrange a picnic goody bag to be eaten by all attending in the Minster following his enthronement in November.
This is surely a noble move by a real "man of the people" and epitomises the depth of Christianity surrounding Dr John.
What a shame that we have a fuss over the fact that Marks & Spencer is supplying the product. I will be attending the enthronement in my role as an Anglican reader, and feel it is a privilege to be among the 3,500 or so people there. We all miss Archbishop David Hope, but in Dr Sentamu we have a worthy successor.
