A RURAL waste water treatment works near York is catching the eye of industry leaders, winning further awards for its environmentally-friendly design.
Yorkshire Water's Scrayingham sewage treatment works, north of Buttercrambe, has won the Environmental Award at the British Construction Industry Awards 2005. It was presented by the Environment Secretary, Tessa Jowell. A few days earlier, the same sewage works was commended in the sustainability category of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors Awards.
