WITH all the recent revelations and misfortunes that have befallen City of York Council over recent months - ie early retirement, missing finances, and an alleged abuse of privileges - the timely discovery of a medieval key and Roman sandal in Spurriergate may unlock vital clues to these mysterious occurrences.
I suggest City of York Council seek the services of Brother Cadfael, the medieval monastic detective, and he be given the "green light" to investigate these unanswered questions.
