TWO men denied murdering North Yorkshire student Joseph Medforth when they appeared in court today.
Mr Medforth, pictured, of Ryther, between York and Selby, died after a street attack in Preston, where he was attending the University of Central Lancashire. Anthony Silcock, 20, from Preston, and Carl Newton, 21, from Chorley, both pleaded not guilty to the murder of the former Tadcaster Grammar School pupil. They were remanded in custody.
