Pocklington moved off the bottom of Leeper Hare York and District Football League's premier division for the first time in over a year thanks to a shock 3-2 win at Wigginton.

Pocklington, who avoided relegation last season as two teams dropped out of the league, were three in front after an hour and held on for their first win of the season despite two goals from Grasshoppers' Jamie Seal.

The visitors were one of three of the bottom four to win. T&L Selby recorded their first win by beating York St John's 4-0 with goals from Darren Fawcett, Chris Harkin, Andrew Best and Daniel Rhodes, while Kartiers beat Haxby 4-1, Pat Noon scoring for the visitors.

Dunnington are now bottom after a 3-2 defeat at Thorpe. A Dean Woods penalty and an Alan Clayton goal sandwiched Chris Burge's strike for Dunnington in the first half and, although Paul Culkin levelled again for Dunnington, another Wood penalty sealed United's win.

Dringhouses moved six points clear at the top after they demolished Huntington 5-0 through Shane Forrest, Craig McShane, Mick Lock, Adam Fishwick and Jimmy McMurray.

Old Malton are now the only unbeaten side after they came from 2-0 down at half-time to win 3-2 at Bishopthorpe. Steve Purdy and an own goal put Bishopthorpe ahead but Malton hit back through Ben Richardson, Dave Bradshaw and Jamie Hopwood.

Copmanthorpe have now gone five away games without a win after Ben Wheeler and Sam Lander gave Malton Bacon Factory a 2-1 win.

Home defeats for the top two in division one saw Tockwith claim pole position with a 5-3 defeat of Norwich Union.

A Matt Deveraux hat-trick put Norwich 3-1 up but Tockwith rallied and scored through Ian Hutchinson, Tom Heddon, an own goal, Olly Drivers and Sam Tobin.

Amotherby lost 1-0 to Heslington while Easingwold, who led through Rob Wadsworth, lost 2-1 to Hamilton Panthers, who registered their first win. Paul Barron and Tim Breen scored second-half goals for Panthers.

A Sam Brown penalty earned Stamford Bridge a 1-1 draw with Ouseburn, while Wilberfoss with a Shaun Hodgson goal beat New Earswick.
