Clifton Federation lifted their first trophy since linking up with Rawcliffe Infant School at the Parents Teachers Association five-a-side competition.

The York Primary Football League season curtain-raiser saw 20 teams taking part at New Earswick Sports Club in four groups of five.

All four went down to the wire before Copmanthorpe, Dunnington, Clifton Federation and Ralph Butterfield made it through to the semi-finals.

Copmanthorpe beat Dunnington 1-0 with a penalty to win a place in the final, while Clifton Federation eased past Ralph Butterfield 2-0.

In the final, Clifton prevailed as goals from Niall Tilsley and Oliver Adamson (pictured in blue) sealed a 2-0 win.
