Away-day lovers Pickering Town are looking to build on their upturn in form when they travel to Long Eaton United in hope of retaining their unbeaten record on the road.

The Pikes have won two on the bounce, including a 5-1 midweek tonking of Thackley, and player/manager Alex Mathie believes they can use that to continue their climb up the Northern Counties East League premier division table.

He said: "We are on a bit of a roll at the moment after two wins - and it could have been three if it wasn't for the defeat to Sutton Town. But sometimes you need a defeat to make you realise what you need to change to put it right."

Mark Swales and Steve Roberts are sidelined by weddings, with Steve Swales and James Drinkall coming in to replace them for Pickering's longest trip of the season.

Harrogate Town striker Lee Nogan, who scored two on Tuesday in a midweek arrangement that releases him when Town are free, goes back to his first-claim club with Mathie returning to the side.

Harrogate Railway are back on the road again hot on the heels of their 3-1 win at Selby Town with a trip to Mickleover Sports.

Selby, meanwhile, have got everything focussed on bouncing back from that defeat, in which they had gone 1-0 up.

There is extra motivation for forward Ian Twitchen as he plays his last game before a five-week suspension - against old club Eccleshill United.

Selby assistant manager Gary Cygan said: "Hopefully he will have a positive impact on the game for us and I imagine he will be up for it."

Andrew Cox returns after missing the midweek game due to work commitments, but replacement Phil O'Reilly is at a wedding.

The Robins are also hoping to get Kev Graham back after another flare-up of an old injury.

Tadcaster Albion have no game due to other teams being in the FA Vase.

Goole travel to Chorley in UniBond League division one with an eye on stretching ahead of the early favourites.

The pair are currently separated by one place and one point - with Goole on top - but manager Paul Marshall cites it as just one example of the volatile nature of the league with dozens of draws already and bottom teams turning over top teams with regularity.

Graham Whitehead is still missing with his bad back, but Mickey Norbury returns after being cup-tied.
