CITY of York Council has a track record of making poor decisions and it looks as if fortnightly rubbish collections is going to be another one.
Increase parking charges and people complain it's too difficult to park in the evening.
The Barbican has been shut for a year now and there still appears to be no further progress.
So what will happen with the bins?
Some people will attempt to recycle plastic and cardboard, resulting in increasing trips to the skip and long queues on the weekends. Others will just take excess rubbish to the skip.
The rest will just dump it and hope someone sorts it.
Can't the council foresee these problems and introduce a bin for other recyclable material?
