SISTERS Mary Mullen and Bernadette Moore have been through an awful ordeal.
The home in which Mary was born and has lived in for all her 71 years was wrecked in a moment as a bus smashed into it.
By good fortune, they escaped physically unscathed. But the trauma has left them shaken and fearful of the future. They do not know where they will be staying after today.
The First bus company has recognised the distress of the sisters, but the matter is now in the hands of its lawyers and insurers, two groups not renowned for settling matters speedily.
We urge them to find Mary and Bernadette a temporary new home as a matter of urgency, and then keep them fully informed until the matter is settled.
