MAN of the moment Clayton Donaldson is keen to get his shooting boots back on.

He's netted in each of City's last four matches with his double in the 3-0 win at Tamworth on Tuesday taking his seasonal tally to six.

Now he wants to stretch that sequence when fourth-placed City take on Exeter, who are a place below them, at KitKat Crescent on Saturday.

"I can't wait for that match because I'm looking forward to playing in front of a big crowd with a good atmosphere," said Donaldson.

City boss Billy McEwan will decide whether to employ Donaldson as an orthodox central striker, as he did at Tamworth, or back on the flanks when the Minstermen played the Grecians.

But the former Scarborough and Halifax loan forward is happy to play in any position, saying: "I don't mind where I play as long as I am playing - I'd play at right-back if the manager asked me to.

"I know that not a lot of players can play on the right, left and in the centre but I'm just grateful to be in the team."

Donaldson also claims that he has not been fazed by a physical introduction to Conference life that has seen him subjected to regular fouls from opposing teams.

He said: "I've always received rough treatment. That's nothing new. It's part of football. I take it on the chin, try not to react to it and keep playing my football.

"All I want to do is keep doing what I am best at - scoring goals and creating chances for other players. I'm just pleased to see the team doing well regardless of how many goals I have or haven't scored."

City fans attending tonight's ten-year anniversary dinner to celebrate the victory over Manchester United at Old Trafford will have the chance to bid for a signed Wayne Rooney shirt.

Rooney's autographed Red Devils shirt is the prized item during an auction that will be held at York Racecourse's Voltigeur Suite.

Other lots include montages of the England Ashes and Liverpool Champions League triumphs and signed Tottenham, Manchester City, Fulham, York City shirts, as well as an autographed St Helens rugby ball.

Limited places for the dinner are still available and anybody interested should call Elliot Stroud on 0870 777 1922.
