THE Malton Road approach to York was so beautiful in the spring with hundreds of bright yellow daffodils at either side, making it almost a pleasure to be stuck in a traffic jam on the way to the roundabout at the junction with Heworth Green.
Driving along that road now all that can be seen are huge nettles, dock plants and long grass with an array of thistles.
What a shame that one of the main approaches to York looks so unsightly.
There does seem to have been an attempt to cut a bit of the grass nearest the footpath.
Couldn't that have been extended towards the hedge to make the whole stretch look tidy, instead of leaving the overgrown mess that is now there?
