A LAST-MINUTE penalty by Gary Watkinson maintained Heworth 'A' team's unbeaten start to Yorkshire League division three with a share of the spoils at Ferrybridge side Prince of Wales.
The tough, physical game ended 20-20, with the Villagers being well served by Jon Jewitt, Kevin Gott, Chris Brown and Sean Brough.
Delays on the A1 meant the game kicked off late and Heworth soon found themselves 8-0 down. They came back strongly, though, with a good try from Sam Clarke, Stuart Watson goaling, and Watkinson's first penalty levelled matters before the break.
A ding-dong second half saw Clarke score his second try and Jonnie Jackson also cross for the visitors, Watkinson adding a conversion, but Prince of Wales still led 20-18 before the late equaliser.
