I LIVE in an apartment with views over several branches of York's busy inner ring road.
I notice that now, as the evenings are drawing in and car headlights are needed earlier each day, quite a large percentage of vehicles only appear to have one headlight working.
I thought it was a requirement of responsible car ownership to check your lights regularly, and that an MOT also looks at this?
When the weather deteriorates and fog, heavy rain etc arrives, this is obviously a safety hazard because other drivers could easily mistake a "one-eyed car" approaching as possibly being a more slender motorcycle and accidents could occur.
I ask readers to check their lights and fit new bulbs if required. It is very irresponsible and against the law not to do so.
