League Cup holders Old Malton were given an early scare in their Senior Cup first round tie at Wilberfoss when Danny Johns gave the hosts an early lead.
But before the break, goals from Ben Richardson and Sam Thackeray gave the Malton side the advantage, and they went on to win 4-1 with Nicky Drew and a second from Richardson.
Huntington Rovers eased past Elvington 3-0 after an Ian Dunne tap-in opened the scoring, Chris Dyson doubled their lead when he blasted home a Dunne cross and Robbie Cookland sealed the win with a deft header to set up a home tie with York St John's, who they beat 11-0 earlier this season. Thorpe progressed to round two after winning at Rufforth 4-0.
Leeper Hare new boys Melbourne put in a creditable display in their first competitive game going down 3-2 at home to Hemingbrough in the Junior League Cup.
A Gregg Nesbitt free-kick put Melbourne in front after two minutes but Danny Smith levelled before Dave Young and a Lee Ward penalty put the visitors in control. Nesbitt pulled one back for Melbourne with another free-kick, but Hemingbrough held on to win and earn an away tie at Moor Lane, who beat Wheldrake 5-0 with goals from Andrew Kenyon (2), an own goal, and brothers Danny and John Yeats. Despite two goals from Kevin Umpleby, Stillington went down 4-2 at Huby.
