SIR DONALD CURRY, chairman of the Government's policy commission on the Future Of Farming And Food, will officially open the new Centre Of Vocational Excellence at Askham Bryan College next month.
The opening, on Wednesday, October 12, will mark the official start of the Food Technology Centre, the National Beef Centre and high tech dairy unit, a project backed by Yorkshire Forward, the regional development agency, and the Learning & Skills Council. The event will be attended by an invitation-only gathering of farmers and business people.
